Well, all this depends on you, your sport and your activity level, but don't worry. We're here to break it down for you and get you training in the best compression Long Tights for you.

GRADIENT COMPRESSION

All of our Long Tights have gradient compression - gradient compression is just one thing that sets SKINS apart from the rest. We've spent 25 years researching where compression works best, and that's where we put it. We know what pressure to apply and where. Gradient compression is crucial if you want to feel the benefits of compression.

VEGAN

All SKINS are vegan, which means all of our Long Tights are vegan - we're working hard to become a more sustainable brand and in an effort to be kinder to our planet, all of our new SERIES garments are vegan.

WARP-KNIT FABRIC

Another element used in SERIES-5,3 & 1 and is totally unique to SKINS is our warp-knit fabric. Warp knit means strong tension that's not lost through use or damage. Personified, SERIES-5 is the Hulk. Understated, then packs a punch. It's for the pros, semi-pros, the people who do 'explosive' sports and the people who are seasoned Compression Sportswear wearers. You can tell SERIES-5 apart by its gold logo and its complicated panelling system.

SERIES-5 COMPRESSION LEVEL

High. It offers our highest level of compression through our most complex graduated profile.

SERIES-5 SPORTS

Which sports is SERIES-5 suitable for? Rugby, American Football, Hockey, Jumping, Sprinting, Track Running and Events, Cycling, Crossfit, O.C.R., Powerlifting, Wrestling, Gymnastics. Basically, any sport that requires explosive movements.

SERIES-3 is the closest to our now-retired A400 range. If you're a long-time SKINS user, there's no doubt you have some A400s in your workout wardrobe. SERIES-3 is an amalgamation of all the best bits of the A400 range updated to keep up with today's athletes. You can tell SERIES-3 apart by its silver logo.

SERIES-3 COMPRESSION LEVEL

Medium-High. SERIES-3 has a medium-high compression profile and is fantastic for running, but it is the most popular range because it's the all-rounder. It's for the people who work hard and then head out to brunch or the supermarket.

SERIES-3 SPORTS

Which sports is SERIES-3 suitable for? In short, anything over 1,500m. Think Football, Tennis, Road Running, Trail Running, Hiking, Gym, Snowsports, Basketball etc.

SERIES-3 BONUS

SERIES-3 is also where you'll find our thermal SKINS (no, you won't overheat) and our Activewear, the perfect partner to your SKINS Compression.

SERIES-2 uses our first 'squat-proof' compression fabric. We spent 18 months researching and testing a whole host of different fabrics and constructions, eventually settling on a 'double-face interlock' fabric. Test after test, this fabric performed, delivering the same consistent compression benefits as our core warp knit fabrics but with an added benefit. No matter the stretch, the SERIES-2 fabric keeps you covered. The fabric is 'double-faced' meaning the front side is the same as the back side, delivering superb next-to-skin comfort. SERIES-2 COMPRESSION LEVEL

Medium-High. SERIES-2 has a medium-high compression profile (the same as SERIES-3) and is perfect for the gym thanks to its squat-proof qualities.

SERIES-2 SPORTS

Which sports is SERIES-2 suitable for? The gym, yoga, pilates - any sport that requires squatting and/or stretching.

SERIES-1 is our entry-level compression. It's perfect for first-time Compression Sportswear users, training, and teams thanks to its wide range of primary colours.

SERIES-1 COMPRESSION LEVEL

Medium. SERIES-1 still offers compression benefits; it's just not as intense as SERIES-3, SERIES-2 and SERIES-5. It's also available for youth A.K.A., the future stars of tomorrow.

SERIES-1 SPORTS

Which sports is SERIES-1 suitable for? It's perfect for team sports because it offers compression benefits and comes in team colours. It's uncomplicated and unpretentious. It's the ideal introduction to Compression Sportswear.

 

WHAT ABOUT RECOVERY?

Our recovery Long Tights differ from our active compression garments. The graduated compression levels in our recovery Long Tights are different because we need to apply different pressure levels to passive muscles than we do to active muscles.

Our recovery garments sit in SERIES-5 and SERIES-3, so we suggest this: If you'd wear SERIES-5 for performance, go for SERIES-5 in recovery. SERIES-3 for performance? Then go for SERIES-3.
